iPhone 7 Bring-up

Work toward carrying the same SouveraineOS boundaries into Apple T8010 hardware.

No public release observedSource declaration: no independent versionLicense: no single declaration

Introduction reviewed 2026-10-15 · Information collected 2026-10-15

The iPhone 7 is a bring-up body for SouveraineOS. Its owned recovery and boot work reaches an NVMe root filesystem, display and a Souveraine session through a host-tethered path.

The purpose is to carry the system into another body while retaining the same owners for session authority, applications and package delivery. Boot access is one part of that work. It does not supply a modem, reliable input, wireless networking or battery integration by implication.

The exact device profile and hardware evidence remain in the SouveraineOS device record. Other checkm8-class devices are research directions until their own profiles and tests exist.

What remains open

  • The boot path remains host-tethered.
  • Self-boot, touch, Wi-Fi, modem and battery integration remain open.
  • Support for one exact device does not establish a supported Apple mobile family.
